Massage

Massage is a great benefit for overall health and well-being in addition to easing stressful or painful conditions; however, the most obvious benefit is that a full body massage makes you feel great!
Some of the benefits of massage:
- lowers blood pressure
- reduces heart rate
- produces endorphins, the body’s natural pain suppressors
- restores suppleness and strength to muscles, improving their overall function
- eases tension or muscles in spasm, helping them to release toxins
- encourages a better exchange of nutrients at the cellular level and a more thorough detoxification
- soothes the many nerve endings found in skin and muscles, keeping your body’s internal lines of communication open and operational
- maintains flexibility of joints such as the knee, hip, spine, shoulder, and neck; allowing energy and blood to flow unimpeded
While a session that is exclusively massage is extremely healing, most sessions are usually not limited to massage alone. Sessions may include one or more other modalities, such as reiki, craniosacral therapy, jin shin do accupressure, or hypnotherapy.
