AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY (“TRY” IS THE KEY WORD) TO ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY:
1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person’s lifetime.
3. When the person’s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

SLEEP: A Healthy Way to Lose Weight!
We have all heard about how important sleep is to our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Here’s another tidbit to support adequate sleep. The connection between sleep and weight has long been known by the military. This knowledge is now seeping into the media world. To test the premise that lack of adequate sleep contributes to weight gain, Glamour magazine did an experiment. They recruited 10 women and told them not the change their diets or their exercise routine. They were given 3 rules:
1) They MUST get 7.5 hours of sleep a night
2) They couldn’t have any caffeine after 2:30 p.m.
3) They couldn’t drink any alcohol 3 hours before bed.

The popular movies, The Secret and What The Bleep refer to many scientific and new-age sources to validate the belief that we create our reality from our thoughts. Many other prominent authors and speakers promote the same concept: We create our reality from what we choose to focus on. This theory is not new. Even the Bible states that Jesus Christ said (in Mark 11:24) “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
So how do you go about shifting your focus from the negative things that preoccupy you to the positive things you desire?
Notice what you are saying to yourself and others. Does it promote your highest and best? Does it support another’s highest and best? Where are your thoughts when you speak?

Spring is a time for regeneration and renewal, not only for all the visible growth of life around us, but also for our own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Our animal friends aren’t the only ones who see winter as a time of hibernation. We can also interpret it as ‘time off’–checking out with a blanket and book. That period of rest can truly feed our soul, but after months, it can also leave our energy systems sluggish if we’re not actively clearing and cleansing. Epson salt or sea salt baths work really well to lighten our physical and energetic bodies (see our Client Resource page). A walk on a beach (if one is handy) is also exceptional. If not a walk on the beach, any type of movement will get your energy going and greatly improve your mood. Meditation clears body, spirit, and mind. Making certain our auric field is intact and healthy is essential. Internal cleansing is also a good way to begin a healthy habit of eating. Bodywork—massage, energetic, or a blend of both—can be an integral part of your plan.
